National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame

Fort Worth Cultural District

A large mural of five horseback riders decorates a brick building as four people walk by on the sidewalk below, under a partly cloudy sky.

The National Cowgirl Museum & Hall of Fame is a central piece of the Fort Worth Cultural District—both geographically and thematically—and it helps define the district’s unique blend of Western heritage and world-class arts.

Meet Our Neighbors in the Cultural District

The district is often defined by five flagship institutions (including the Cowgirl Museum):

  • Kimbell Art Museum – internationally known for masterpieces spanning centuries
  • Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth – modern and contemporary works (post-1940s)
  • Amon Carter Museum of American Art – American art, photography, and Western works
  • Fort Worth Museum of Science and History – interactive science, innovation, and Texas history
  • Fort Worth Botanic Garden
