The first woman inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, Patsy Cline had a voice and singing style that remains an influence on the realm of music. Inspired to learn to sing and dance by a Shirley Temple movie, Cline made her radio debut at ten and received national attention when she appeared on the Arthur Godfrey show singing “Walking After Midnight.” Her short but stellar career ended in a 1963 plane crash.
